Mayweather's girlfriend 'harassed by McGregor fans'

The anticipated bout between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor is stirring up trouble before it even starts.

According to the Daily Star, Abi Clarke, the British girlfriend of Mayweather, is being harassed by fans of the Irish MMA sensation ahead of their fight next month and has been verbally abused by people who allegedly shouted "Mayweather's gonna die."

“It has been a real-life nightmare for Abi," a source close to Clarke told the Star.

"The stuff she has had to deal with has been tough to take.

“She is genuinely worried about her safety. There are concerns that the worst could happen if things get out of control.”

Clarke said the threats started shortly after it was revealed last week that she had been secretly dating Mayweather for several months.

She reportedly even had a brick tossed through her window.

After a colorful press tour full of smack talking and money showers, the 28-year-old McGregor will face the undefeated and formerly retired 40-year-old Mayweather in Las Vegas on Aug. 26.

Clarke is expected to be in attendance.
