Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have posed for a new official portrait ahead of a TIME 100 talk to discuss how we use the internet and social media - and it's very different from what we're used to seeing from the couple.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will take part in the virtual event, which is set to "bring together experts, advocates, and online creators to elevate essential and timely conversations that impact all of us - and explore how we can create online communities that are more compassionate, safe, and trustworthy."

Ahead of the event, the couple sat down for a portrait, and although it's black and white like many of their previous royal pictures, that's about all that's similar. The pair look relaxed as they both wear suits, and Meghan is laughing as she looks away from the camera.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry smiles down the lens.

Along with her chic suit, Meghan wears her Cartier Love bracelet, and what is believed to be Princess Diana's Cartier watch.

Dan Macsai, TIME executive editor and editorial director of the TIME100, said in a statement: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, both TIME100 alumni, are among the most influential voices in the world.

"We look forward to working with them to elevate essential voices and highlight real solutions to some of the most pressing issues of our time."

The event comes after Meghan spoke about the trolling she received while pregnant with Archie Harrison. Speaking to a trio of American teenagers for the Teenager Therapy mental health podcast, the Duchess spoke about online abuse and how it had affected her personally.

“...I'm told that in 2019 I was the most trolled person in the entire world – male or female.

“Now eight months of that, I wasn't even visible. I was on maternity leave or with a baby. But what was able to just be manufactured and churned out. It's almost unsurvivable."

We're sure both she and Harry will have interesting things to say at next week's talk.
