Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have lost the ‘indispensable’ help of Doria Ragland, just two weeks after the birth of baby Archie.

The change was triggered by Meghan’s mother’s return to her home in Los Angeles where she was seen walking her two dogs earlier this week.

Since little Archie’s arrival, the royal couple are said to have so far refused to hire a nanny or a large household staff, in favour of keeping things personal.

According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, this has translated to a heavy reliance on Doria, who had been staying with the couple since before Archie’s arrival.

“They don’t yet have a nanny or a team of staff and there’s no chef,” she told Grazia.

“Doria has been helping out, she has been indispensable.”

It is believed Meghan’s yoga teacher mum touched down in London five weeks ago, originally to help her daughter during the final stages of pregnancy.

Doria again proved just how tight she is with the couple in the days after Archie’s arrival, appearing in official portraits alongside the Queen and Prince Philip.

She also copped a mention in the official birth announcement which informed the public of her ‘overjoy’ at the ‘arrival of her first grandchild’.

This excitement was apparently evident even before the royal birth, with PR expert Nick Ede Yahoo UK’s The Royal Box the then grandmother-to-be was ‘raring to go’.

“She’s got a really strong maternal instinct and she’s the perfect partner to be with Meghan at this time,” he said.

Doria is also believed to have taken $7,000 classes to prep for her new role, which she will continue to take seriously whether from Los Angeles or Windsor.
