Oh we do love a royal wedding – and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's, which was somehow already two years ago, was one of the most beautiful ones we've seen. The pair, who recently moved to a luscious home in LA, celebrated their anniversary a couple of days ago, on 19 May, and it's reported that in the past they've exchanged some seriously sweet gifts.
As per the wedding anniversary tradition, which sees each year marked with a different type of material, from paper to gold, it's said that Meghan and Harry both went all in on the paper theme last year, that's assigned to couples in their first year of marriage.
Using some hidden talents that we never knew The Duchess had, a source told PEOPLE that she wrote out their wedding speech in a beautiful font – and that she previously worked as a freelance calligrapher. So cute!
"This year, they both gave each other gifts based on cotton. Undoubtedly, it was a very creative and romantic gesture as all their gifts are to one another," the source said.
It's thought that Harry stepped up to the plate with an equally as thought out gift too, by giving Meghan a gorgeous eternity ring, to celebrate both their first year together as a married union and to mark the birth of their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
We just absolutely love the thought that has gone into both of these presents! Who knows what the royal couple came up with for one another this year? Given that the theme is cotton it could be anything from homemade matching outfits to a bedspread with Archie's face sewn into it. Or yeah, maybe just a gift voucher, IDK.
Speaking of gifts too, little Archie has also been the recipient of some pretty swish presents in the past too, with one of his books rumoured to have been bestowed upon him by a pretty big name celeb.
