Meghan Markle to step back from public life before her royal wedding

She may be one of the most talked about women in the world at the moment but you won’t catch Meghan Markle at royal engagements before she ties the knot.

The 36-year-old former Suits actress, who is due to wed Prince Harry in May next year, stepped out for the first time last week in Nottingham on the arm of her dashing fiancé.

However, if you thought we would have a string of Harry and Meghan photos to swoon over for the months leading up to their big day, then you’ll be sorely disappointed, as apparently, Meghan will be taking a step back from public life.

While it’s thought the stunning America will make an appearance on Christmas Day at church in Sandringham, it’s believed that will be her last official outing until she walks down the aisle.

It comes after it was predicted that Harry and Meghan’s wedding could cost upwards of AU$20 million.

The costs will likely be divided into two main sections, the wedding itself, and the security needed to co-ordinate it.

Unlike average weddings, security will be the largest expense by far, with Hamish expecting it to total an eye-watering $18 million.

And while the royals have pledged to “pay for the core aspects of the wedding, such as the church service, the associated music, flowers, decorations, and the reception afterwards”, security will likely be covered by the UK taxpayers.

Meanwhile, the wedding itself is predicted to set the Windsors back $2.7 million, with Hamish predicting their principal expenses will be catering, alcohol and decorations.
