Milford charged over 'disgraceful' hair-pull on rival

Brisbane’s Anthony Milford has been charged after pulling the hair of Penrith’s Corey Harawira-Naera in the Broncos’ big win on Friday night.

Milford has been hit with a grade-one contrary conduct charge over the incident late in the second half, which prompted Harawira-Naera to chase him down field.

The Broncos five-eighth faces a fine of up to $1500 but can have the it reduced down to $1150 if he enters an early guilty plea.

NRL fans slammed the Brisbane playmaker over the incident, which has been described as “disgraceful” by some.

The Fox Sports commentators chuckled over the incident and some fans also had a good laugh over it:

Others, however, were not happy with the Broncos player or the referees:

Tevita Pangai Jr starred as the near-perfect Broncos completed 20 of 21 sets in the first half to leap to a 32-0 lead and finish 50-18 victors.

Pangai Jr (two tries) was unstoppable in his 31-minute comeback from a hamstring niggle, while Jamayne Isaako, who signed a four-year deal on Thursday, was electric in the No.1.

Off-contract Pangai Jnr’s stocks will only rise after his dominant showing in a week where raw 18-year-old teammate Payne Haas signed a five-year, $3.4 million extension.
