Military aid to Ukraine is the West’s responsibility – Duda

Providing weapons to Ukraine, which is resisting Russian aggression, is the duty of Western countries, the Polish President, Andrzej Duda, believes, Polskie Radio reported on May 28.

Duda expressed the opinion that artillery shells are of decisive importance on the front in Ukraine.

He spoke about the Russian aggression and said that the West should do everything to help Ukraine in defense.

If Moscow succeeds in defeating Kyiv in this war, there will be a strategic threat to the entire Atlantic region, he said.

The Czech initiative to transfer ammunition to the Defense Forces of Ukraine is of great importance in this context. This is currently one of the main proposals for strengthening Ukrainian defense capabilities in a very short period of time, he said.

"The Czech initiative has the full political and financial support of the Polish side."

Poland "is happy to accept" the Czech Republic's request to deliver 800,000 artillery shells to Ukraine, Duda wrote on Twitter (X)
