From frisky fumbles to awkward encounters, most of us have fond memories of losing our virginity.

One American model has turned it into a multi-million dollar transaction instead, after auctioning off her first time for almost $4 million on controversial website Cinderella Escorts.

Gisele, 19, decided to put her first sex experience up for sale after reading about the website in a newspaper – with an Abu Dhabi businessman putting in the winning bid of 2.5 million Euros (AU$3.9 million).

“I think the trend to sell your virginity is a form of emancipation and I am shocked about people who are against allowing a woman to sell HER virginity,” Giselle revealed on the website.

“If I want to spend my first time with someone who is not my first love, that’s my decision.”

The website reveals the auction also saw a LA-based Hollywood actor bid $3.7 million, and a Russian politician bid $2.8 million.

The company have about 40 virgins from around the world listed on their site, but say the girls are vetted and see a psychologist.

Gisele claims the winning bid is a “dream come true” and is preparing herself for the next step, which sees her meet the highest bidder in a hotel in Germany, accompanied by Cinderella Escort security.

"Every woman has to decide on her own if it is worth to give her virginity for free to a boyfriend who maybe later on will break up with her, rather than selling it,” Giselle explained.

“But I made my decision and now I can study wherever I want, buy a new house and travel around the world. It gives me a lot of opportunities."
