Why is it a good deal? 💰

Upon consulting our price trackers, we discovered that this model has only dipped lower than its current price once — ever. On top of that, many robovacs without mopping features cost as much, if not more than this 2-in-1, which makes the markdown even more impressive.

Why do I need this? 🤔

If you prefer straightforward appliances without a lot of tricky features to navigate, this Roomba has your name on it. It doesn't have loads of fancy bells and whistles, like detailed home mapping, but it's certainly equipped with all the essentials for keeping your floors in great shape.

For starters, its four-stage cleaning system can vacuum and mop at the same time, rather than performing one task and then the other. Plus, it moves about your home in neat rows to help ensure no space is left behind.

One of its most impressive assets is the fact that it can run for up to two hours before scooting on back to its dock to recharge. And if you're inclined to use the iRobot Home App, you can schedule cleanings from afar, or even view a report of which areas it targeted.

As for the mop, you can choose from three suction and water levels depending on the intensity required for the job. There's also a spot-cleaning function, so if there's a particular area that needs a little more love, the Roomba can dedicate up to two minutes to tackling that stubborn mess.

What reviewers say 💬

Still on the fence? Here's what Amazon customers think of this multitasking machine.

Pros 👍

"I wish I had gotten this years before," wrote one satisfied user. "I had an old off-brand one that was noisy and hard to empty ... Took two whole seconds to set [this] up and have it working. I can control it from my phone and even have it set to vacuum if it detects my phone leaving the house. I have two dogs and a cat, so I mainly wanted it for shedding hair. I send it around the house once or twice a day, and it has really cut down on the hair on the floor. Easy to empty too."

"My new best friend. I have never loved a product more," raved another pet parent. "I have three cats and one dog. Carpets, too. I used to think I was cleaning my floors properly until I started using the Roomba. Omg. All the cat hair I never knew [about]."

"[I] use the Robot Roomba for vacuuming the carpets throughout a 1,500-square-foot apartment," shared a third fan. "It does a thorough job as it goes from room to room. It’s a time-saver, which prevents me from having to do the work."

Cons 👎

"I set this thing off in one room to see how it would do," wrote a generally pleased buyer. "It did an excellent job of covering the entire surface and shut down once it had mopped the whole room. ... It cleaned for about two hours before needing to be recharged. It did about half of my house. When I rinsed the pad ... it was filthy! So, yeah, it actually mops. When I went to empty the dustbin, it was full! So yes, it vacuums too." That said, they noted, "It was a bit awkward to empty the bin compared to my old Roomba, but they give you a brush to help. And I rinsed out the water tank and dried everything off, so there was a bit of effort in unit maintenance when it was done."

"Less tech is definitely better," said a final shopper. "It doesn't have a map, I can't program which rooms to go in. I think that is definitely an advantage, to be honest. My other Roomba has a lot of issues due to the app or maps or lighting. This one just bumps around and does a great job cleaning. A lot less frustration in general to use. My only issue is the voice is extremely loud and could definitely be toned down a bit."

Don't be afraid, Fido — this Roomba's after your spilled kibble, not you.

And for de-dusting higher surfaces...

When we tried out the Craftsman V20 Cordless Hand Vacuum over several months, we found it to be the best hand vacuum we've tested. It's so much more powerful than its lightweight feel would imply, and we appreciated that it can be used to remove dust on furniture and higher surfaces in addition to floors.

It is bulkier than some of the other hand vacuums out there? Yes, but that's to be expected given its performance. That said, it's portable enough to bring from room to room without it feeling like a workout, and that's all we can ask for.
