Neighbours fans go wild as Chrishell Stause makes her debut: 'Love her already'
The Selling Sunset star has finally arrived in Erinsborough.
Six months after it was first announced she was joining the show, Chrishell Stause officially made her debut appearance on Neighbours on Thursday night. The American actress, real estate agent and Selling Sunset star plays Yasmine ‘Yaz’ Shields, a glamorous and successful businesswoman in pursuit of an exciting work opportunity.
Chrishell made quite a dramatic entrance on the soap, strutting her way around Erinsborough to a buzzy pop song wearing a short black dress, sunglasses and heels. When asked by Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) if she needed help because she looked “a bit lost”, Chrishell responded: “I’m exactly where I need to be.”

Her storyline saw her meet with Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Krista Sinclair (Majella Davis) and Jane Harris (Annie Jones) to drum up support for a light show through her events company, which she started with her brother.
It’s been revealed that Yaz’s brother is Heath Royce (Ethan Panizza), who recently lost his life when Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) pushed him into the creek and he was killed by crocodiles.
'Best character intro ever'
Following Chrishell’s first episode, fans took to social media to share their excitement that she’s now a part of the beloved Aussie series.
“Omg the crossover I've been waiting for,” one person wrote, while another added, “I can't wait for the drama she is about to bring”.
“Best character intro ever! Chrishell’s iconic,” a third shared, followed by someone else who said, “An entrance paying homage to Selling Sunset!”.
“Loved the intro music to Chrishell’s arrival and love her storyline so far!” a different user replied, with another commenting, “I love her already”.
Many people have also assumed Chrishell’s character Yaz has arrived in Erinsborough to avenge her brother’s death and is “coming to get Holly”.
“Looks like she's making everyone pay for her brother's death,” one fan shared, as someone else wrote, “Already worried about what this means for Holly! Give the girl a break!”.
“Can’t wait to see what her revenge will be,” another remarked.
Yaz's 'secret motive'
Chrishell appeared on The Project earlier this year to promote her role on Neighbours and teased that her character Yaz has a “secret motive”.
“Her name is Yasmine Shields, but everyone calls her Yaz. She's a very glamorous, intelligent lighting director who is bringing a very exciting lighting show to Erinsborough,” she detailed.
“It may not come as a surprise, she obviously has a secret motive. I can't let you know what that is, but it is very juicy. And, of course, she may accidentally get distracted with a little bit of love along the way!”

Chrishell added that she was very thankful the character is American because her Australian accent needs some work.
“Did they ask you to do an Australian accent?” Sam Taunton asked, to which she replied, “I would've been fired immediately. I can't do an Australian accent, I wouldn't even try. So, you're all safe. I'm going to be playing an American, don't worry”.
