New clues in search for teen missing from campground party

Fresh details relating to the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl have been revealed, days after she was last seen at a campground party.

Kiely Rodni was last seen at a campground in Northern California on August 6 between 12.30am and 1am, where she was at a party attended by hundreds of juveniles and young adults.

Her disappearance is being treated as an abduction.

On Monday, police released a stock image of a hoodie they believe Kiely was wearing at some point during the party.

A video of the 16-year-old at the event emerged and in it she was wearing the white sweatshirt with "ODD FUTURE" written in pink text.

However, police previously said Kiely was seen wearing a dark grey sweatshirt which was loaned to her the night she disappeared.

That sweatshirt featured Lana Del Rey lyrics and a floral design on the back.

A website dedicated to finding Kiely said she was also wearing green pants, a black bodysuit with thin straps and gold necklaces.

Placer County Sheriff's Office is also hoping to find Kiely's car, a 2013 Honda CR-V with a ram sticker below the wiper blade.

Teen's last text to mother at the party

While at the party at Prosser Family Campground, Kiely messaged her mother, Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, and said she would be leaving the party and coming "straight home".

"I told her to be safe and that I loved her. And she said, 'OK, mom, I love you, too,'" Ms Rodni-Nieman told ABC News last week.

"She never came home."

Her phone has not been in service since the party. It last pinged near the campground at around 12.30am.

In a video released by the police last week, Ms Rodni-Nieman said Kiely's loved ones "just want her home" and that everyone was so scared for her.

"Kiely, we love you and if you see this, please just come home. I want nothing more than to hug you," she said tearfully.

She also pleaded for anyone with information to come forward.

As part of the investigation, CCTV footage from petrol stations, private businesses and residences have been collected and reviewed for any signs of the teenager.

However, law enforcement has become frustrated with the lack of leads.

“Someone saw her but they’re not coming forward,” Placer County Sheriff Lt. Josh Barnhart previously said.

While for the most part people have been cooperative, detectives did deal with at least one parent who allegedly told their children to not help with the investigation, Fox News reported.
