The announcement of the hot new cardiothoracic surgeon was met with great enthusiasm from fans, with many speculating that the new doc could be a new love interest for beloved character Mackenzie.
Perth-born Tristan, 28, has now revealed new details of his role and the 'high-stakes' storyline Dr Levi will be involved in.
“Levi comes in during a really high-stakes storyline,” he told 7Life. “He’s fighting to save the life of a central character.
He elaborated, saying the storyline will certainly keep fans on the edge of their seats.
“It’s the start of a big storyline that will go on for a while and will certainly have fans gripped.”
The actor said he felt attached to Levi's character "straight away", packing up and moving to Sydney for the role.
Hailing from Western Australia, Tristan was right at home at Summer Bay, with many other fan favourites calling WA home, including Juliet Goodwin (Bree), Ally Harris (Dana), and Jacqui Purvis (Felicity).
Will the new Doc catch Mac's eye?
In the comments of the announcement of Dr Levi, many fans started speculating that maybe the new doc would be a love interest for Mackenzie.
Promos for next week's episodes show Mac looking like she's suffering from some sort of heart attack, and Home and Away fan site Back To The Bay reported in August that an audition piece for a new doctor was posted online where the doctor talks to Mac after she suffers an episode related to her heart.
"Welcome Dr Levi, enjoy your stay and please fall in love with Mac," a hopeful fan said.
"Oh hope he's a new love interest for Mac," another said. "She deserves a good relationship."
"I bet he’s there the save Mac and they fall in love," another speculated.
