It's a good day for Star Wars fans, because your childhood fantasies could soon become your children's reality.

It may have been 40 years since we first saw it on our screens, but now an actual, working version of Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder from Star Wars: A New Hope has been unveiled at this year's Comic-Con as a product you can actually buy.

The only catch? Well, really, it's just for kids.

Radio Flyer's kid-sized Landspeeder will be available at Toys R Us from September (and you can already pre-order it now) and will set you back $499 in the US, with more details about its price and availability in the UK yet to be announced.

The electric-powered device has two seats, an interactive dashboard with lights and real movie sounds with a 5mph maximum forward driving speed. The gear shift also offers a 2mph forward and a 2mph reverse option, and comes with a 12V rechargeable battery.

The officially licensed product measures at 62 inches and can hold a maximum weight limit of 130 lbs, but it still manages to rank up there as just about the coolest news we've heard in a while.

This wasn't the only exciting Star Wars news to drop recently either, as during last week's Disney D23 expo, Disney released new behind-the-scenes footage of the upcoming The Last Jedi film, which teased some very important new developments for the latest in the franchise.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is released in cinemas on December 15.
