NSW man charged with child sex offences

A 55-year-old NSW man has been charged with having sexually-explicit online conversations with a person he thought was a 14-year-old boy and trying to arrange a meeting.

NSW child exploitation detectives began the covert online conversation with the man last month, resulting in his arrest at Westmead on Tuesday.

Strike Force Trawler investigators also searched a Beverly Hills home and seized computers and electronic storage devices.

The man was charged with using a carriage service to procure persons under 16 for sexual activity and will appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday.
