St. Denis Medical is now accepting patients, though becoming one should be done at your own risk!

PEOPLE has an exclusive look at the new workplace mockumentary making its way to NBC this fall. The sitcom co-created by Eric Ledgin and Justin Spitzer (The Office, Superstore) debuts on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

“Dr. Patel will be administering the anesthesia now, so count back from 5 and we’ll see you on the other side,” surgeon Bruce (Josh Lawson) tells his patient just before a procedure with his team.

As instructed, the patient counts down, and with the team of medical professionals expecting him to be sedated, the doctor adds, “Okay, let's do this.”

“Nope! I’m still here,” the patient suddenly says, shocking the team of doctors.

“Jesus Christ, what is this guy, Wolverine?” the lead surgeon asks.

As the scene cuts away, another patient is lying in bed as her loved one sits in a chair beside her and informs the doctors that her treatment “can’t start until her cross is here.”

Enter a lone doctor doing her best to unload a wooden cross larger than the size of her own body out of the bed of a pickup truck in the parking lot. She lugs the item from the parking lot to an elevator at St. Denis Medical Center to get it to the patient before running into a roadblock.

Ron, an emergency department doctor and down-on-his-luck divorcee, then tells cameras: "But we're doing the best we can," as Val (Kaliko Kauahi) struggles to pull the massive cross onto the hospital's elevator — only to realize one thing.

“Oh, it’s going down?” she says in disappointment before attempting to push the wooden cross out of the elevator.
