One Tree Hill star teases reboot sending fans into a frenzy

Fans of the cult teen drama One Tree Hill have been whipped into a frenzy after a former star of the TV show appeared to hint at a potential reboot.

Bethany Joy Lenz, who played Hayley James Scott for nine seasons, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a moody shot of a row of school lockers in a hallway along with a cryptic caption.

“Some pretty great #backtoschool news for you all... coming soon! #oth #ravens,” the 39-year-old wrote.

Loyal viewers took to the comments section to share their delight at a possible One Tree Hill reunion, eight years after the series wrapped up in 2012.

“I CANNOT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT,” wrote one.

“What is it??? Omg,” said another.

“Omg what does this meannnnn,” another asked.

At this stage, it doesn’t look like any of Bethany’s co-star’s — such as Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty and Sophia Bush — have shared similarly suggestive posts nor has there been any official confirmation from Warner Bros. Television.

On June 2, Chad, aka Lucas Scott, paid tribute to his castmate Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer) on her birthday, calling her a “mega talented, heart warming, always giving SUPER HUMAN”.

The Freaky Friday star also recently raised funds for COVID-19 relief by selling signed Ravens basketball jerseys with the word ‘Scott’ and the number three on the back.
