Oprah Winfrey, Queen of Television and one of the all-round greatest humans ever (if you ask us), has shared her advice on how to ignore negativity in your life.

And she's taking inspiration from her A Wrinkle In Time character, Mrs Which, too, which basically means that it's advice that all of us should definitely take heed of.

"You gotta do what Mrs Which, my character, says to Meg at the beginning of the movie: just find your own frequency. Yours. And have faith in who you are," Oprah shared Radio 2's Saturday Breakfast Show this morning (March 24).

"Everybody who's on your frequency, they're there to support you along the way because your frequency is there to guide you to the highest space.

"The way you get in trouble is messing in other people's frequency, or believing what other people's frequencies say about you. There is your frequency that's there to carry you all the way – all the way – to unimaginable places in your life.

"So when you start paying attention to other people's frequencies, you get lost. You lose your way."

Oprah appeared alongside her co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling on the radio show to promote A Wrinkle in Time, which she's been doing in appearances all across the UK's media in recent weeks – including a spot on BBC One's The One Show, where Mindy confronted Oprah about leaking her pregnancy news.

"I was showing, my pregnancy was showing. So people were assuming that I was pregnant. The news had leaked that I was pregnant but I hadn't confirmed it, mostly for vanity's sake," Mindy explained.

"I think [Oprah] said in an interview, 'I'm very excited for Mindy to have her baby' - thus confirming. What [reporters] did, is they tricked you. They said, 'You must be excited for Mindy and her baby', and you said you were."

A Wrinkle in Time is in cinemas everywhere now, while Dermot O'Leary's Radio 2 Breakfast Show will continue with Dermot back again next Saturday (March 31) at 8.05am.
