Outrage over Trump staffer's wife flashing her wealth
Trump’s office has come under fire yet again but this time it’s all over a picture US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin’s wife posted online.
Scottish-born actress Louise Linton has caused uproar after uploading a snap to Instagram showing her disembarking a private plane in the Kentucky, dripping in designer gear.

Kentucky is known for being a high-poverty area but Lniton decided to hashtag each and every designer piece she was wearing on her business trip in the now deleted snap.
She wore #rolandmouret pants with #tomford sunnies, an #hermesscarf and #valentinorockstudheels.
The 36-year-old, who married Steve Mnuchin in June, also carried a white Birkin bag, which can cost up to $400,000.
“Great #daytrip to #Kentucky! #nicest #people #beautiful #countryside,” she captioned the snap, which has now sent the internet into a spin.
People were furious with Linton for her ‘let them eat cake’ moment as she disembarked the military plane.
“Glad we could pay for your little getaway. #deplorable,” Jennimiller29 wrote on the picture.
Linton saw red at the comment and immediately hit back with her own response, directly aimed at Jennimiller29.
“cute!….Aw!! Did you think this was a personal trip?! Adorable! Do you think the US govt paid for our honeymoon or personal travel?! Lololol,” she started her reponse.
“Have you given more to the economy than me and my husband? Either as an individual earner in taxes OR in self sacrifice to your country?
"I’m pretty sure we paid more taxes toward our day “trip” than you did. Pretty sure the amount we sacrifice per year is a lot more than you’d be willing to sacrifice if the choice was yours.
“You’re adorably out of touch. Thanks for the passive aggressive nasty comment. Your kids look very cute. Your life looks cute. I know you’re mad but deep down you’re really nice and so am I. Sending me passive aggressive Instagram comments isn’t going to make life feel better. Maybe a nice message, one filled with wisdom and hunanity would get more traction. Have a pleasant evening. Go chill out and watch the new game of thrones. It’s fab!”
Linton has since delted the picture and made her Instagram account private, however that didn’t stop people screenshotting it for the rest of the world to see.
