The two-time Super Bowl MVP turned 28 years old on Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Florida
Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes is 28!
The two-time Super Bowl winner celebrated his birthday — and a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars — on Sunday with his wife Brittany Mahomes and their family and friends in Florida.
"We here for the BIRTHDAY GAME!" Brittany wrote on her Instagram Story, alongside a carousel of images from what she called a "Sunny Sunday."
In one photo, the Mahomes gathering could be seen enjoying a suite at the stadium, while in another snap, Brittany kissed her husband along the sidelines as others in the crowd could be heard yelling "happy birthday" to the quarterback.
In an interview after the game, Patrick shared how he would celebrate his big day.
"I'll probably just hang out with the guys," he said. "It'll be a nice flight home, luckily we're flying back with a win, and then we're getting right back at it."
Mahomes' birthday celebration comes shortly after Brittany's, who turned 28 on Aug. 31.
The Super Bowl MVP threw his wife a surprise birthday party themed with denim and diamond outfits and tons of blue and silver balloons.
Brittany shared photos from the party, which also featured 10 friends gathering to celebrate the mother of two. "Patrick surprised me with my girlssss and a celebration this weekend and it was THE BEST TIME!" Brittany wrote in her post.
Brittany wrote that Patrick is “Always making me feel special,” as she also shared photos of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback sporting a denim jacket and tattered jeans.
The couple first met in high school and have been together for more than 10 years, doing everything together from attending prom to celebrating two Super Bowl championships and starting a family.
Patrick and Brittany married in March 2022 in a luxe ceremony in Hawaii. The NFL star popped the question in September 2020.

During the 2023 NFL off-season, Brittany said she and her family got to enjoy lots of time together.
"Lots of 'I go to work with daddy' this off-season and we enjoyed every second of it! Love this -always busy- little fam of mine🥹🤍," she wrote in an Instagram post.
According to Brittany, the NFL star does an incredible job balancing his demanding career and fatherhood. “He has a soft spot, but I think he's done such an amazing job at balancing his work life and his at-home life, and I think he's really switched around his priorities and figured it out,” she told PEOPLE in July, adding that he is "The best father ever."
