Paul Chuckle Recovering After Being 'Laid Up' With Coronavirus: 'It's Not Nice'

Paul Chuckle has revealed he has been fighting coronavirus.
The former kids TV star – real name Paul Elliott – said he had experienced a “mild” form of the virus, but said it was still “not nice”, leaving him in bed for a “good few days”.
The 72-year-old posted a video on Twitter to assure fans he was doing well, urging them to also heed the government’s restrictions about staying home.
Paul said: “Hi guys, just checking in to let you know I’m still around.
“I have been laid up with Covid-19 for a good few days, just mild, but it was there and it’s not nice, I promise you, so please, please stay inside.
“We’re all going stir-crazy, we know that, but please stay inside and take the pressure off the NHS, Marie Curie, etc, etc.
“Please, please, stay in guys and enjoy as best you can.”

Paul captioned the video with “on the mend”, along with a fingers crossed emoji.
Paul is best known as one half of children’s entertainers The Chuckle Brothers along with late brother Barry, who were famous for their CBBC show Chucklevision.
Barry died in 2018 at the age of 73, and was diagnosed with bone cancer prior to his death.
Other stars who have fought Covid-19 include Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, actor Idris Elba and former Loose Women star Linda Lusardi.
The latter was discharged from hospital on Sunday after being taken “to death’s door” by the virus.
