Person in hospital after Newtownabbey incident
A person has been taken to hospital following an incident in Newtownabbey, County Antrim.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it received a 999 call at 21:40 GMT on Monday after reports of an incident in the Fairview Avenue area.
It said it despatched two emergency crews and two ambulance officers to the incident.
It added that following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
There is a heavy police presence in the area.
