Peter Says He and Hannah Brown Started DMing While He Was Engaged to Hannah Ann...
Bachelor Peter Weber is finally explaining what happened between him and Hannah Brown while he was engaged to Hannah Ann.
Reminder: Hannah Ann accused Peter of blindsiding her by contacting Hannah B.
Look, I know we're all trying to move on from Peter Weber's messy season of The Bachelor, but dude keeps talking about it so here we are. And he's finally explaining what TF happened between him and Hannah Brown while he was engaged to Hannah Ann. As a reminder, Hannah Ann called Peter out during After the Final Rose for bringing Hannah Brown drama into their relationship:
"Peter, we’ve been through a lot together, and I should have really picked up on the first red flag that you gave to me was when you wanted to reach out to Hannah Brown to find closure with her," Hannah Ann said. "So really, looking back on it, our engagement involved three women: Me, you still being in love with Madison and proposing to me and you needing closure with Hannah Brown. That’s three women involved in our engagement that I was completely blindsided to."
Naturally, the world had a lot of questions, and Peter's finally explaining himself.
"We get the episodes earlier to watch before the season premiere," he said during Nick Viall's The Viall Files. "Hannah Brown had been given the episode as well. One day I saw that she DM'd me on Instagram (I didn't have her number at that point). She was being really honest and open and wondering if I had seen the episodes yet. She was kinda struggling with it, it was tough to watch."
Kay, kay, fair, please continue.
"I saw this message and [Hannah Ann and I] were on a 'Happy Couple' weekend, and we were watching the episodes together, and I told her that Hannah Brown had reached out, that it could be good for both of us to get some closure. To be completely honest, the way that whole conversation ended [with Hannah Brown on 'The Bachelor'] wasn't very definite. I was so confused in that moment... Those were real feelings being brought up. So Hannah Brown reached out to see how I was doing."
Hmmm...not sure it's cool to get closure with your ex literally right after you get engaged, but fear not, there's more.
"I had asked Hannah Ann if it would be okay if I could communicate with Hannah Brown. She told me that it was fine as long as I didn't see her in person... she was, obviously, a little hesitant... and that's why I wanted to be transparent about her with everything. Ultimately, she gave me the okay and Hannah Brown and I discussed things."
Peter says nowadays he and Hannah Brown have a "mutual respect," but gonna go ahead and agree with Hannah Ann on this one: chatting with your ex over DM to get closure is sus/weird/all the things. Agree?
