This Is What Phoebe Dynevor Says Her Bridgerton Costar Regé-Jean Page Smells Like
"He never, ever had bad breath, and he doesn't smoke or anything like that," said the actress
Regé-Jean Page's fans have questions — and his Bridgerton costar, Phoebe Dynevor, is providing them the answers they so desperately seek.
In a new interview with Glamour, published Tuesday, the actress joked about regularly being asked what Page smells like, "Oh, my God. Why have so many people asked me that?"
But she ultimately gave the people what they wanted, revealing, "He smells really, really nice. He never, ever had bad breath, and he doesn't smoke or anything like that."
"We both drink a lot of coffee, so sometimes we both smell like that, which was fine," added Dynevor, 25, who has many intimate scenes with Page, 30, in the record-breaking first season of their steamy Netflix period drama.
"He's unscented in a good way," she concluded.

Based on the popular books by Julia Quinn, Bridgerton season 1 follows the esteemed families of British high society and their romantic pursuits through the lens of a mysterious gossip columnist, Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews).

The series was one of Shonda Rhimes' long-awaited projects as part of the eight-show deal she made with Netflix in 2017, and it was announced last week that the show would be getting a second season.
Page caused quite the stir with his portrayal of Simon Basset, the brooding Duke of Hastings, while Dynevor stole fans' hearts as the delightful Daphne Bridgerton — so much so, in fact, that their onscreen chemistry stirred up rumors of a real-life romance.
But during a joint interview with Access, the actors laughed off rumors about them dating off-screen. "I think everything you need to know is on camera. That's why we presented it so beautifully for you," Page joked.
"All the sparks that flew off of the beautiful scripts that we were handed, and so I think that the sparky scripted material are more than enough," he added.

Although Bridgerton's first season largely chronicled the romance between Daphne and the Duke of Hastings, it remains unclear whether their relationship will be followed so closely in subsequent installments.
"I genuinely have no idea what they're going to do with the second season, but I imagine if they're following the books, then it would be Anthony's journey," Dynevor shared in a recent interview with Deadline, referring to Quinn's best-selling series of novels, which take turns following different members of the esteemed titular family.
Indeed, just days later, Netflix shared news of the renewal and hinted that the second season would be focused on the eldest of the eight Bridgerton siblings.
The exciting news was revealed in the form of one of "Lady Whistledown's society papers," which teased, "This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities."
"I'm sure Daphne will end up getting involved," Dynevor continued in her chat with Deadline. "I do wonder what it looks like. I'm excited to find out."
