This Photo of Emily Ratajowski in the Most Classic Pair of Uggs Proves Fall Is Finally Here

These days, the only way to tell the passage of time is through the changing of seasons and maybe also through photos of Emily Ratajkowski.

Back at the beginning of the pandemic in March, the only way anyone could keep track of the days was through the model's dog-walking outfits. A new dog-walking 'fit meant it was another day of the week and that 24 hours had indeed passed. Some might even argue that her first crop top look ushered in the beginning of spring. Groundhogs be damned.

Somehow, we are now mid-September, which means everyone is still mourning the end of summer even though it's technically not over just yet. At least that's what we had hoped until Ratajkowski declared it dead with her pair of classic mini Ugg boots. Supermodels have been wearing them out on the streets of New York for weeks but Ratajkowski's approval makes the whole thing official. There's nothing transitional about a leather blazer styled over a Ugg Keira hoodie from the brand's just-launched clothing line, especially when a pair of Ugg boots are involved.

It's not all so bad though. Twenty-twenty could use some sweater weather. Panicking in the fetal position definitely feels better when it's in a cozy pair of sweats and boots. And if anything, at least Ratajkowski's outfit proves that winter is still a ways away.
