In pictures: St Patrick's Day parade turns Bristol green

St Patrick's Day has been marked with floats, decorated cars and bicycles in a parade in Bristol on Sunday.

The event celebrating Irish music, dance and culture was organised by the West of England's Irish community group.

The parade travelled from the M Shed Museum to St Nicholas Market, pausing en route at Queen Square for a dance.

Deputy Lord Mayor and parade organiser, Paula O'Rourke, said they wanted to showcase the city's diversity.

She added the city was "extremely proud of our Irish heritage, culture and tradition" and wanted to showcase it through the parade.

The theme for the parade was "Sea of Migration" and an after-party will take place until 20:00 GMT.
