Piers Morgan wants you to know what a brave soldier he is by revealing that he "manned up" by coming on Good Morning Britain 16 hours after having surgery.

Appearing on the show earlier today (September 20), the presenter spoke about having a "huge lump" on his neck removed.

"My manning up has continued," he said. "I had a very unpleasant little lump removed surgically from the nape of my neck. And here I am, literally 16 hours later at my work station.

"And you know the worst thing about it... it was one of those little lumps you get – my kids started calling me Quasimodo on the beach."

He also explained the graphic procedure, much to the protest of his co-presenters Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins.

The presenter praised the "wonder of modern medical science", before Susanna joked: "You are a wonder of modern medical science."

He revealed that the nurse recommended he had a week off after the surgery, with Piers adding: "I said, 'Turn on the TV and I will be there, manning up'."

While Piers is "manning up", one person who definitely isn't a fan of his schtick is Katie Price's son Harvey, who once called the presenter a "c**t" backstage – at least according to the reality star.
