Sarah said when she was 49kg she felt fat and was disgusted by what she saw in the mirror.

“I genuinely thought I was fat, I looked in the mirror and hated what I saw. If I ate even half a chocolate bar I would run to the bathroom and force myself to be sick,” she wrote.

Sarah claims the majority of her insecurities came from ex boyfriends telling her she had love handles and comparing her to women they saw on the internet.

Four years on, Sarah was 56kg, and she said she started to believe what they were saying and began to do cardio five times a week.

“I started training and eating more, I started to like my body moreeeee. Still sticking to super strict, fad diets which always resulted in me binging on muffins and chocolate in the supermarket car park incase my ex (bf then) would find out.,” she wrote.

“I was doing cardio 5 times a week and still had a f*ckd up toxic relationship with food. Pathetic right? It actually got that bad though, and NOW it seems crazy.”

Now Sarah is 64kg and eats a balanced and healthy diet and says she does "next to no cardio".

“I have my better half to support me, tell me I'm beautiful every day and he NEVER says what I "can't" eat,” she said.

“I've had so many messages from ppl saying there partners won't "let them" eat dessert and it strikes a nerve, coming from past relationships like that, I urge you to kick them to the curb.”
