Netflix’s White Lines dropped on Friday and the murder mystery had us hooked from start to finish (yes, we've finished it already). As well as the bonkers but brilliant storyline and idyllic Ibiza setting, the 10-part series from Money Heist’s Álex Pina also features a fabulous cast.

Some of the actors you’ll definitely recognise, like Coronation Street's Angela Griffin, The Capture’s Laura Haddock and Line of Duty’s Daniel Mays, but we reckon when it comes to the actor behind Axel's character, you'll probably be stumped. Well, look no further because here's everything you need to know about him:

Who plays Axel in White Lines?

Welsh actor Tom Rhys Harries, 27, plays the role of the DJ who moved from Manchester to Ibiza with his group of pals. Tom made his film debut in 2012's Hunky Dory starring Minnie Driver. He then went on to appear in a string of stage productions, including The History Boys and also Jez Butterworth’s Mojo alongside Ben Whishaw, Daniel Mays and Rupert Grint at The Harold Pinter Theatre.

Since 2017, he's appeared as a regular in a number of TV series, including crime drama Unforgotten, Channel 5 drama 15 Days and Sky's Britannia. He also appeared in Guy Richie film The Gentleman last year.

Oh, and according to his Instagram profile, he's also a very skilled singer and guitar player:

Opening up about his role in White Lines, Tom recently told the Evening Standard: "He’s a real juxtaposition of a character. He has drive and ambition to be a superstar, but he’s also a really damaged human being. I read him as the human embodiment of an ecstasy pill."

Tom also spoke about what the cast got up to when the cameras stopped rolling, adding: "I’m not very disciplined. I’d go for one drink and then it’ll cut to 6am and I’m left wondering what’s happened. The extras on set would party with abandon, and then all go out after shooting.

"[The cast] would find themselves heading to the clubs at 2am after dinner at midnight. Let’s just say the summer of filming was hazy."
