Plouffe says Harris could win all 7 swing states

David Plouffe, a senior adviser to Vice President Harris’s campaign, suggested Monday that the Democratic nominee could win all seven swing states.

“And, you know, just a couple hours ago, reviewing all the early vote data, what we’re projecting for Election Day, how we think undecideds are breaking, we have a credible pathway to all seven states tomorrow night to go into Kamala Harris’s column,” Plouffe told CNN’s Erin Burnett on “OutFront.”

“But we believe they’re all going to be close,” he said.

Burnett then asked Plouffe, “But you think you could win all seven?”

“Yes,” he responded.

Harris and former President Trump have their eyes on seven battleground states that could decide the election: Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan and Nevada.

On Election Day, The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s (DDHQ) national polling average shows Trump and Vice President Harris tied nationally with 48.4 percent support apiece.

In Michigan, Harris has a slight edge over her GOP rival — 48.7 percent to 48.3 percent, the DDHQ average shows. Trump, however, is up 2.6 points in Arizona, 1.7 points in Georgia and Nevada, 1.5 points in North Carolina, just less than 1 point in Pennsylvania and just less than a half point in Wisconsin.

Burnett noted recent comments from Nevada politics expert Jon Ralston, who predicted that Harris would clinch the Silver State. She then asked Plouffe, “You’re saying you think you could win all seven, but do you share that optimism about Nevada specifically?”

“We’ve liked what we’ve seen. I mean, listen, what I think is largely than — overstated in some of the analysis or coverage or cheerleading is, ‘Hey, there’s a lot more Republicans voting early than there were in ‘20.’ Yeah, of course. Trump told them not to vote in ‘20 early, in a feat of, like, epic political malpractice,” he replied.

The Hill has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment.
