In case you missed it, Victoria's Secret has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons since their 2018 fashion show.

It started when the brand's Chief Marketing Officer, Ed Razek, finally addressed Victoria's Secret's lack of diversity in an interview with Vogue.

When questioned as to why the brand doesn't use plus-size or transgender models, Razek explained: "It’s like, why doesn’t your show do this? Shouldn’t you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don’t think we should. Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy."

Despite apologising for his archaic comments, the CEO of VS, Jan Singer, resigned, and the brand has now seen it's lowest ever TV ratings.

Plus-size fashion brand, Navabi, has now fought back, following Razek's comments that Victoria's Secret attempted to do a plus-size show in 2000 but "no one had any interest in it, still don't".

Teaming up with their favourite plus models: Rae, Isadee, Jennifer, Tash and Salome, the brand recreated their own mini lingerie show to prove that "fashion should be inclusive for all women."

In a series of Tweets Navabi explained their reason for the campaign:

"The #VSFashionShow is ‘the most watched’ fashion show in the world. Each year they send women down the runway with just one size and shape body. ‘Angels’ they call them, as if only this one idea of the ‘perfect’ body gets into heaven.

"68% of women in the USA are plus size, yet their Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek says ‘nobody was interested’ in them featuring plus women, and this year the body diversity of the show looked the same as every year. VS needs to get with the times or get out of the way."

We can only hope that with more campaigns like this, we'll get to see a diverse range of models that truly represent everybody, walking alongside the original angels next year.
