Podcast recommendations to help you switch off

We've finally reached day 20 of the challenge and people are urged to unwind and listen to a podcast.

It doesn't necessarily have to be related to mental wellbeing, but just an entertaining listen that will help you tune out from the day's stresses and enjoy some time to yourself.

For those who have never listened to a podcast or are looking for something new, the Yahoo Australia team has helped you out by sharing some of their favourites.

Everyone Has An Ex

Hosted by former Bachelorette star Georgia Love, Everyone Has An Ex offers a funny, and at times confronting, look at the relationships of everyday people.

This podcast offers the listener an opportunity to be a fly on the wall for people's heartbreak and fairytale love stories.

No Dunks

If you like the NBA, the No Dunks podcast is for you. It's just five dudes giving quality basketball analysis.

But it's also a good gateway podcast for NBA beginners because they go on bizarre tangents that are not sport-related. Good laughs. Five stars.

Swindled

The Swindled podcast is written and hosted by an anonymous "concerned citizen".

The fact they have never revealed their identity, the ominous background music, and the presenter's monotone delivery, adds to its impact.

It's true crime and many of the cases deal with corporate greed, white-collar crime, and political corruption.

This American Life.

This American Life is an hour-long program focusing on culture, identity, politics and human interest stories across the globe.

It's great because it's normally made up of three different stories focusing on a simple topic, question or concept.

It can be as newsworthy as the US Election or as broad as people sharing personal stories.

The Tim Ferriss Show

Each episode of The Tim Ferriss Show is an interview with a world-class performer in business, sport or arts and explores their tactics, tools and mindsets. You come away from each episode feeling motivated and empowered.

He also delves into mental health and the struggles he’s had.

Some of his latest topics include how to reinvent yourself, the poison of complaining, near-death experiences, finding inner peace, investing in crypto and the future of psychedelics.
