Police officer leaves pregnant waitress touching note, along with giant tip

A kind-hearted police officer has been heralded as a hero but not for the reason you would expect.

Courtney English, who is almost eight months pregnant with her first child, was half way through her shift at a cafe in New Jersey when she went to collect the bill from a table.

She was never expecting this.

A Voorhees police officer, who she had never met before, left a US$100 tip on a bill that was just $9, along with a heartwarming message.

“Enjoy your first. You will never forget it,” he scribbled on the receipt.

“I didn’t know until he left. And when I found out, I was hysterical,” Ms English told CBS.

While local media managed to track down the extremely kind officer, he asked to remain anonymous. That didn’t stop Ms English from delivering a message to her new hero.

“Definitely, thank you,” English said.

“It really means a lot. It’s been really hard saving for the past couple months, so it was really, really amazing.”
