Pose boss teases what's next for season 3 following THAT season 2 finale
Pose producer Janet Mock has opened up about what the events of the season two finale – which aired in the US last night – might mean for the groundbreaking drama series going forward.
While the show's first season was centred around finding family and community, its sophomore run tackled themes like courage and identity. In the most recent episode, that exploration led to members of the House of Evangelista parting ways.
House mother Blanca (Mj Rodriguez) initially finds it hard to accept that her "children" are flying the nest, but by the end of the show she decides to continue running Evangelista and takes in some new youngsters.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Mock explained that it was an organic, narrative decision by herself and co-creator Ryan Murphy.
"I think, for us, we knew very early on that Blanca is our singular heroine," she said. "Everyone else anchors around her but she’s kind of the central force.
"We knew that the way that she was fighting for her kids very early on, from the second season premiere all the way through, would lead to them having independence. They’re going to grow up and move on. I think it’s something that most parents do and so we kind of knew that."
Mock – who also directed the series finale 'In My Heels' – went on to add that co-creator Steven Canal's episode 'Revelations' was a turning point in Blanca's storyline, as it saw her "questioning her mortality, purpose and dreams."

That episode helped to "reawaken Blanca’s drive to say, 'These kids that I love, you know, they’ll always be in my life. They’ll never be in my household again and now I have to figure out what does my new house look like, what does the new Evangelista look like?'
Now, Mock says that the team behind the Emmy-nominated show are going to see how viewers react to the season as a whole and enjoy award season before they make any concrete plans for season three.
"We’ll return back to the room and then start fighting each other again about what we want," she laughed "But I think, this set up for this finale, compared to last season, is that we know we have another season so we wanted to do [a finale] where it’s truly about new beginnings."
