Pregnant Woman Sells Her Tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour for $4,000 — and Now Her Sister-in-Law Won’t Talk to Her
The Swiftie turned to a popular Reddit forum to ask if she’s in the wrong
A Taylor Swift fan who sold her Eras Tour tickets is taking a look at what she’s done — because now she’s got bad blood with her sister-in-law.
A 31-year-old pregnant woman in San Diego recently turned to Reddit's popular Am I the A------ forum to ask if she was in the wrong for selling her pricey tickets instead of giving them to her 29-year-old relative.
The woman bought the tickets in late 2023, when Swift, 34, added more North American tour dates. At the time, she asked her sister-in-law, who “has never been a huge” fan, to come, and they agreed to go together.
“Fast forward a couple of months and I am now expecting a baby,” wrote the soon-to-be mother, adding that her due date is Dec. 7 and the tickets were for the Dec. 6 show in Vancouver, Canada.
“At first I was adamant I was still going to try and make it to the concert but I soon came to the realization it just wasn’t in the cards for me,” she added. “I offered to let her have the tickets if she wanted to take her daughter who is a big [Swiftie] and she said she didn’t want to go if I wasn’t going.”
Weeks then passed before she told her sister-in-law she wanted to sell the tickets.
“She tells me she’s still going with or without me and that her nail tech wants to go with her, which kind of put me off a little because they’re my tickets and not hers to be deciding who is using them (she never even offered to pay me face value for them),” she explained.
With the mad love between the “best friends” fading, she sold the tickets.
“Long story short I end up selling the tickets for $4,000 in total, which will be a perfect little nest egg for me while I am on maternity leave,” she said.
The pregnant woman now claims that her sister-in-law hasn’t replied to anything she sends her, including ultrasound images, stopped sharing her location on Find My Friends and won’t attend her baby shower.
“She has since completely stopped communicating with me. We were pretty much best friends before this,” she concluded.

In the comments section of the post, many Reddit users sided with the expectant mother.
“Your [sister-in-law] got greedy and you have a backbone so...her loss, lol,” one reader replied. “Your tickets, your rules. Congrats on the baby and the big lump of money you got for your tickets.”
Another person left a less favorable reply, writing, “I stopped reading when you said you sold the tickets for $4,000. [You’re the a------] for that.”
