Amazon Echo Dot smart speaker

The Echo Dot has evolved into a fine little desktop speaker and this third gen edition has a surprisingly potent mono driver that works fine with music, spoken books, and everyday interaction.

Amazon’s Echo Dot was given a fresh new look in 2020 with a spherical design replacing the puck of old.

Now in its fourth generation, the humble Dot has evolved into a fully-fledged smart speaker and it's currently on sale for Amazon's Prime Day, with the newest Echo Dot having a massive 60% slashed off the price. Usually £49.99 RRP, the latest version of its best-selling smart speaker is now only £19.99.

Amazon Fire Stick

Currently the most affordable member of the Fire TV family, £12.99 (was £29.99) on Amazon, this Lite model is brilliant value. The choice of streaming shows is comprehensive, and includes BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Prime Video, Now, Disney+, ITV hub and more.

It may look the same as its cheaper sibling, but this Fire TV stick adds TV control to the mix. Priced at £17.99 (was £39.99), you can use it to control TV power and volume, as well as all the other stuff.

Amazon Kindle

Upgrade your reading with the latest Kindle Paperweight e-reader. It’s waterproof (so you can read in the bath or on the beach without worry), it pairs with Bluetooth speakers for use with Audible spoken word content, and (most importantly) has a built-in backlight, making it easy to use in bed.

Amazon Fire tablet

If you’re seeking a new tablet, the more than 50 per cent saving on theFire HD 8 is a serious temptation. Amazon Fire HD tablets are locked to their own apps store (so no Google Play store), but there’s a wide selection of entertainment on tap.
