Prince George Looks Adorable In New Photos Taken By Kate Middleton For His 7th Birthday
It's hard to believe that it's been seven years since royal watchers saw Prince William and Kate Middleton leave the hospital with their eldest, Prince George, swaddled in their arms. But it has indeed—and in the meantime, George has grown into quite a handsome young man.
In what has become something of a tradition for the Cambridge kids, to celebrate George's seventh birthday tomorrow, William and Kate released brand new photos of their son, taken by the Duchess herself earlier this month.
The royals' actual birthday parties are generally private affairs—but thanks to one of George's godmothers, we have at least one hint about what's in store for the birthday boy. Julia Samuel, an old friend of Princess Diana's and a godmother to George, opened up about the gifts she chooses for the soon-to-be seven-year-old during a recent podcast appearance.
"I do to George what [Princess Diana] did to us, which is give impossible toys that are really noisy and take a lot of making," Samuel said, per People. "I come in slightly tipped by the size of the present that William then has to spend days putting together. And then put all the machinery together, and it makes awful tooting noises and lights flashing and all of that."
Samuel says it's a hit—for both her and her godson. "That makes me laugh, and it makes George laugh." Here's hoping he enjoys good laugh or two tomorrow.
