Prince William And Kate Middleton Reportedly Brought George, Charlotte, And Louis To James Middleton's Wedding
Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, ventured to southeastern France for James Middleton and Alizee Thevene's nuptials, according to the wedding officiant. Kate's brother, James, wed Alizee in a small ceremony in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France. The location is particularly meaningful to the couple, as Alizee's family recently acquired a property in the village, according to François Arizzi, the town mayor.
"It was a very nice and very family ceremony," said Arizzi, who also officiated the marriage in the local town hall, per People.
Of course, the future king and queen of England are part of the Middleton family. According to Arizzi, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did indeed attend the wedding, but were careful to keep the focus on the couple of the moment.
"Prince William and Kate were there but they did not want to steal the show from the newlyweds, Alizée Thevenet and James Middleton, who is a very nice boy," Arizzi added.
The Bormes-les-Mimosas mayor also gave a few more key details about the event. Namely, the outfits, which seemed fitting with the wedding's casual setting. "Prince William did not have any formal attire but wore a beige and off-white suit," said Arrizi, who noted that Kate wore "a long dress of a very light green color."
William and Kate were not the only notable guests at the wedding. Arrizi shared that the little Cambridges, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, also attended the celebration. Pippa Middleton, Kate's other sibling, joined the group, as well.
James and Alizee announced their marriage on Instagram, through James's account. He posted a photograph of the happy couple, writing, "Mr & Mrs Middleton ❤️ 🇬🇧 🇫🇷 Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village or Bormes-les-Mimosas. Words cannot describe how happy I am ❤️"
