Prince William's 'terrible fights' with his step-sister
Prince William and Prince Harry may be rumoured to be in the midst of a royal feud, but it seems the brothers are used to a little bit of drama.
Prince William reportedly had regular bust-ups with his step-sister, Laura Lopes, around the same time her mum Camilla and his dad Charles married in 2005.
In her 2010 book Harry and William, author Katie Nicholl claimed that the step-siblings would row about their parents.
“William and Laura used to have terrible fights over who was to blame for their broken homes,” Katie wrote in the book.
“William would blame Camilla for all the hurt she had caused his mother, which would send Laura into a rage.
“Laura was not having any of it. She would take a hard line and fire back at William ‘your father has ruined my life.’”
Laura, 40, is the daughter of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles.
She married Harry Lopes in 2006, and while reports claim she didn’t see eye-to-eye with her step-brothers, Harry and William, the royals were in attendance on the day.
Also at the lavish wedding ceremony, which was held in Wiltshire, was William’s then girlfriend Kate Middleton.
“When they stopped blaming one another’s parents and let go of their painful pasts, Laura and William got along well,” Katie wrote.
By 2011, it appears the family had mended any feud, as when William and Kate decided to wed, they had Laura’s adorable daughter Eliza as their flower girl.
Laura’s brother, Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, has also been spotted with the royal brothers over the years.
He has a 10-year-old daughter, called Lola.
