Charlotte bobbed her head and put one leg behind the other as she accepted a tiny bouquet of wild flowers.

Meanwhile, it appears that Prince George could learn a thing or two from his sister, as the future King stood at the side holding his father’s hand, looking extremely tired.

He rubbed his eyes and rested his head in his arm, looking eager to get on the plane and go straight to sleep.

The royals were waving goodbye to Poland after spending two days in the country visiting famous landmarks and meeting dignitaries.

They then landed in Germany where they will attend royal functions and a garden party to honour the Queen’s 91st birthday.

It comes after Prince William and Kate Middleton said they were “intensely moved” by their trip to a Holocaust camp in Poland.

"We were intensely moved by our visit to Stutthof, which has been the scene of so much terrible pain, suffering and death,” the message, which was signed by both Kate and Will, read.

"All of us have an overwhelming responsibility to make sure that we learn the lessons and that the horror of what happened is never forgotten and never repeated."
