Princess Diana's haunting prediction in note before fatal crash

A note from a closed-door meeting with Princess Diana and her legal advisor has revealed the royal predicted her fatal car crash two years before her death.

In a preview of the new docuseries The Diana Investigations obtained by the Daily Beast, the note taken during the meeting by legal advisor Victor Mishcon in 1995 details Diana's concerns she would die or be seriously injured in a car crash.

She reportedly said in the meeting that "reliable sources" had told her there would be attempts to "get rid of her" or injure her in a car accident that would possibly be caused by a brake failure.

Just two years later, in August 1997, Princess Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris with her partner Dodi Fayed and driver Henri Paul.

The BBC reported erratic paparazzi following the car contributed to the crash, while prosecutors said blood tests of the driver found he had three times the French blood-alcohol limit.

The revelation of the eerie note containing Princess Diana's prediction comes after her bodyguard Lee Sansum said he believed the royal would still be here today if he was in the car.

The bodyguard told The Sun that he "drew straws" which resulted in him not accompanying Diana and Dodi that fateful night.

“It could have been me in that car,” he told the publication.

“When I learned they were not wearing seatbelts in the crash I understood why they didn’t survive. That shouldn’t have happened.

“It was standard practice for the family to wear seatbelts. It was an order sent down from the boss, Dodi’s dad Mohamed Fayed. Dodi, in particular, hated wearing seatbelts and I always insisted on it."
