Priyanka Chopra says that starting a family with husband Nick Jonas is “very important” to her.

The actress, who married Jonas in 2018, explained how she wants to wait for the right time to have children.

“Right now, this year’s really packed for me in terms of the work that I’m doing and the work that I’ve taken on,” Chopra told Tatler.

“But having a family is very important to me and it always has been. It is something that I definitely want to do and I’m hoping that whenever God wills it, at the right, opportune time, it’ll happen.”

The 37-year-old also went on to add that their marriage, despite their very busy schedules, comes before anything.

“We make sure not to go more than two or three weeks without seeing each other. That’s a rule.”

She continued: “It’s too hard otherwise, and you’ve got to work on the relationship, to prioritise it.”

Chopra's sister-in-law Sophie Turner is reportedly expecting her first child with husband Joe Jonas.

The pregnancy has not yet been confirmed by the couple, who got married last May, however JustJared reported that they are "keeping things very hush hush" and that "friends and family are super excited for them".
