Rebel Wilson turns heads in plunging swimsuit for Tourism Fiji ad

Rebel Wilson has made a stunning appearance in a brand-new ad campaign for Tourism Fiji to celebrate the nation's reopening to holidaymakers.

The Aussie jet-setter was as glamorous and cheeky as ever as a shipwrecked Hollywood star drifting off the shore of one of Fiji's stunning islands in the promo video.

A Rebel in Fiji

Once she makes it off her ramshackle boat — aptly named 'Cali Dreamer' — the Pitch Perfect actor meets some friendly locals and explores the tropical paradise all while clad in a metallic evening gown.

The 41-year-old also posed up a storm in a series of jaw-dropping pics that show her enjoying all that the dreamy destination has to offer.

In one snap, Rebel does her best Titanic impression while wearing a yellow knit maxi dress over a black one-piece swimsuit on board a luxe yacht.

Rebel continues the beachy theme by donning an orange long-sleeved swimsuit with a plunging zip-up neckline while strolling the sand.

In a third pic, she enjoys a drink with some local people wearing traditional Fijian dress.

Rebel called Fiji one of the 'most beautiful places in the world' in the press release, revealing that she has very fond memories of visiting the popular vacation spot as a child.

"I had the best time filming this campaign, there really is nothing like the white sand and clear waters of Fiji. It is truly breathtaking," she said.

"But even more than the landscape, I love Fiji the most for its people. Everyone greets you with a smile and a 'bula', the warmth and hospitality of everyone I met is something I will always remember. Fiji truly is open for happiness," she added.

After reaching its 90 percent vaccination target for its adult population, Fiji opened for quarantine-free travel for fully-vaccinated Aussies on December 1.

The country's 333 islands, white sand beaches and year-round tropical warmth are once again just a few hours' flight away.

All travellers to Fiji must complete the required tests and documents needed to board their flights as well as a 3-night minimum accommodation booking at a Care Fiji Commitment certified property.

Travellers are also required to undertake a mandatory Rapid COVID-19 diagnostic test 48 hours after their arrival at their hotel, activate the careFIJI contact tracing app and avoid travel to communities in low vaccination areas.

'Rebel island'

The Sydney-born star has been island-hopping of late. Back in September, Rebel celebrated her 41st birthday with an extravagant party with her closest friends on a private French Polynesian island dubbed 'Rebel Island'.

The star and her pals — including Pitch Perfect co-stars including Brittany Snow and Anna Kendrick — enjoyed themed movie nights and even a tennis tournament, aptly named 'Rebeldon' during their stay.

There was also a lot of beach time, where Rebel posed in a red one-piece swimsuit to show off her 30kg weight loss transformation.

She recently spoke of her 'Year of Health' with Jamila Rizvi on The Weekend Briefing on LiSTNR, when she apologised if she'd 'annoyed some people' by posting so many selfies of her slimmed-down figure.

"I feel really good within myself and I like to celebrate the journey," she began.

"And also, why I did it publicly was for accountability as well, because it’s all good and well just having a little experiment and if you don’t tell people about it you could just easily fail, whereas if I tell the whole world on social media, then that's pretty good motivation," she added.

The Aussie actress, who just wrapped up filming on her upcoming Netflix film Senior Year, also added that her weight loss didn’t have an effect on her confidence as she’s always had great self-esteem.

“I think people are beautiful in all different sizes, and I would feel just as confident rocking my size 16 dress as I do now. I’m about a size 8 now,” she explained.

“I loved being bigger and it never stopped me from achieving anything in my life.”
