Reese Witherspoon Had a Total Mom Moment While Promoting Her 16-Year-Old Son's Music on Instagram

At just 16 years old, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe's son, Deacon, is well on his way to becoming a major musician — and his famous mom is helping get the word out on social media.

On Friday (July 10), the actress promoted the release of Deacon's debut single a producer, "Long Run," on Instagram, and pulled a total mom move in the process.

"New Song of the Summer! #LongRun So proud of my son @deaconphillippe... his first single with the incredibly talented @ninanesbitt is out now!," Reese captioned a clip of the new song's audio, adding: "It’s the perfect summer bop with a sick beat and dope drops (is that what the kids say 🤗?!) Check it out! Link in my stories."

It's unclear if Reese actually knows the meaning of the words she used to describe Deacon's music (dope, sick, bop), or if she just randomly strung several terms together from her teen son's lingo. Regardless, it makes for peak mom content, and we're here for it.

Last year, Witherspoon "embarrassed" Deacon when attempting to use the app TikTok. "For all the moms out there, what is TikTok?" she asked, to which the teen explained: "Basically, it’s, like, a short-form video platform for kids on social media." Then, the 44-year-old showed her son her old-school dance moves, which had him signal to the person behind the camera to stop filming.

You can't blame a mom for trying.
