Regina police are investigating after two marked police cruisers crashed into each other.

The collision happened Thursday at about 9:20 a.m. CST near the intersection of Second Avenue North and Royal Street, police said in a news release.

Both officers involved were responding to a call for service, the news release said, and they both had non-life-threatening injuries.

"The collision will be investigated like any other two-vehicle collision," the police news release said.

Because police vehicles were involved, that investigation will be reviewed by a supervisor and the Regina Police Service collision review board.
