Richie breaks his silence: 'Alex broke my heart'
The Bachelor's Richie Strahan has finally broken his silence after his ex-girlfriend, Alex Nation, left him for a woman.
Last week it emerged that Alex, 26, had fallen for one of her Frankston Bombers teammates Maegan Luxa, 31, after they were spotted kissing on a night out.
According to New Idea magazine, sources close to Richie, 32, say he was left "shattered" by the revelations.
"He is totally heartbroken. He feels as though his world, dreams and hopes have come crashing down overnight," a friend told the magazine.
"Richie wanted nothing more than to settle down with Alex and her little boy."
The source went on to say that Richie felt as though he was woken up in a nightmare when he learned of Alex's new love and has been refusing to eat or work and has been crying constantly.
Despite her newfound happiness, the magazine also claims that Richie still holds a candle for his former flame and is hoping she will "take him back".
Alex has been spotted gettIng cosy with Maegan, a former chef from Melbourne, and were even photographed kissing at a recent night out.
She is yet to comment on the new relationship.
