Riders handed two year-suspension for bizarre bust-up

Two Costa Rican motorcyclists have been handed lengthy bans for a bizarre clash on the middle of the track.

Jorge Martinez was battling for position against Marion Calvo, back in February, when it appears the Costa Rican loses control of his bike.

This prompted Martinez to grab hold of the back of Calvo’s bike in desperation.

Calvo eventually comes to a halt and safely lets Martinez off the bike.

But after a momentary pause, Martinez punches his rival.

Calvo falls off his bike before pursuing Martinez in a bizarre clash.

The Latin American branch of the International Motorcycling Federation handed the riders a two year-suspension for the bust-up.
