In a surprise announcement, Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field have revealed the birth of their fourth child, the second of which to be born via a surrogate.

The couple shared the happy news on Valentine's Day the way we've all become accustomed to receiving celeb baby news: through an arty Instagram post.

Posting a snap of four pairs of children's feet, Ayda teased, "Spot the difference" before explaining the newest member of her family, named Beau Benedict Enthoven Williams, been born via the same surrogate who carried their third child back in 2018.

"On this Valentine's Day, we would like to celebrate love in the most awesome way", Ayda wrote.

The ex-X Factor judge continued, "As with Coco, he is biologically ours, but born via our same incredible surrogate. We are so blessed to have our healthy son safely in our arms and are officially complete as a family ❤️❤️❤️

Robbie, 46 and Ayda, 40, have three other children together: seven-year-old Theodora Rose, five-year-old Charlton Valentine and one-year-old Colette Josephine who was born using a surrogate back in 2018.

Announcing the arrival of Coco in September 2018, Ayda opened up about the couple's "long and difficult path" to have a third child.

She wrote at the time: "So we have been keeping a very special secret."

"It has been a very long and difficult path to get here, which is why we have kept it on the down low. Family comes in all forms, and this little lady, who is biologically ours, was carried by an incredible surrogate mother, to whom we will be eternally grateful."

Congratulations Robbie and Ayda!
