Robert Irwin spotted with rumoured girlfriend: 'Adorable'

Robert Irwin has just been seen in public with his first girlfriend, believed to be Heath Ledger's niece Scarlett Buckley.

The 18-year-old was spotted on a romantic date with the blonde, with the pair watching the sunset while having a bite to eat.

New Idea published multiple photos of the young couple on their outing, showing the pair settling down with burgers and fries from Grill’d at the beach. Robert couldn’t wipe the smile off his face and gave Scarlett a sweet hug.

It’s unclear how Robert and Scarlett met, and the pair are yet to address their budding relationship publicly.

Robert doesn’t follow many people on social media, but he has been following Scarlett on Instagram for a while.

Scarlett, 18, is the daughter of Kate Buckley, sister to the late Heath Ledger. She has an identical twin sister Rorie, and has been seen in the past supporting the Heath Ledger Scholarship for emerging Australian talent.

Fans gushed over the news, with people calling the new couple 'adorable' and 'so cute' on social media.

Robert’s surprising admission

This comes after Robert revealed sister Bindi Irwin is eager for him to be in a relationship so it takes the focus off her and her love life.

“It's pretty funny because of course my sister has gotten married and had a kid and there's always a lot of rumours that go around,” he told E! News.

“‘Bindi's having a second kid’ or ‘they're having triplets.’ There's always so many crazy things that happen, so Bindi always says, ‘Robert, it's your turn now. You gotta find someone to take the heat off me!’”

Robert, who has been linked with American actress Emmy Perry and Wiggles star Lucia Field, went on to say that he doesn’t have any “big scoop” about his current dating life but will “get there” eventually.
