Rock narrowly avoids journalist following riot police during Rotherham disorder
A rock thrown by demonstrators at an anti-immigration protest barely missed hitting a journalist following riot police in Rotherham.
Footage shared by a video producer from the Press Association shows officers moving towards a large fire, before a rock is launched in their direction.
It flies past the police and their riot shields, narrowly missing the reporter.
An emergency Cobra meeting was called on Monday 5 August, in the wake of a weekend of disorder which saw rioters storm hotels housing asylum seekers in Rotherham.
So far, 344 people have been arrested since the violence first broke out on Tuesday.
