Ronaldo puts Neymar to shame with insane jersey sales
Cristiano Ronaldo is already making his mark at Juventus, following reports the club sold more than 520,000 number seven jerseys on the first day of his official signing.
To put that into perspective, Neymar’s move from Barcelona to PSG made a mere 10,000 jersey sales – despite breaking a world record transfer fee to move from Spain to France.
The total number of Juventus jerseys sold in 2016, from all players and numbers, was 850,000 for the entire season.

END OF AN ERA: Socceroos legend retires from international football
Ronaldo’s effect in Italy has been so strong that the football star’s new Juve jerseys are just flying off the shelves.
Authentic soccer jerseys sell for about €104 (AU $164), while replicas go for a retail price of €45 (AU $71).
With that in mind, Juventus likely brought in anywhere between $37 million to $85 million in one day of Ronaldo jersey sales.
